I would try to get a new key, if its real loose your probably going to have to get one sooner or later anyway and that may be the problem you're having now.

is it turning over and not starting or it wont turn over at all. no clicking or nothing? u will need to find the ohms on the key pod. call a couple parts stores and dealers to see if they have a key reader and how much it would be to find out what key u will need. if its your vats that is acting up then that could be it. are u getting a security light? if u have a ohm meter u can check the ohms your self. check this out and see if it helps.

Thanks yes if you hold the key in the start position it makes a clicking noise and the dial on the speedometer would go up i think the reason the clicking is because i have a dead battery, obviously because i have a short which may be draining the battery. But i am going to get a new key but i have to get it running good enough to get tags and get it registered to get a key made

clean the the battery terminals and the battery cable ends. wire brush the heck outa them. then clean the wire ends in your power juntion box. red plastic box on the passenger side wheelwell by the battery. take the nut off and wire brush the wire ends then hit the box nut with some electrical cleaner. u may want to put some electrical grease on the connections to help stop/slow corrosion if u have any. stuffs not cheap.
