ive got a T10 thats in good shape just laying around, and its not selling on craigslist, is it possible to put one of these with an LT1?

more just messin around with car crap than trying to build a race car or anything

ive got a 93 btw, if im wrong im sorry but ive heard there less to worry about with computer issues and trans swaps in these (i.e. its easier)

 

Since the 93 does not use the computer to control the shift points it may be a little easier but the computer will still be looking for the torque converter clutch.

Mechanicly this project would be a nightmare. Everything is different. There is very little room in the tunnel. GM rotated the transmission, I think 17 degs, to get everything to fit. The T10 is a wider trans I dont think it will bolt camaro tilted bell housing. If I remember correct the T10 has a large side mount shifter. The t56 is a top loader. The lack of rotation and the side mount shift would require another 6 inchs of clearance to the driver side? I have no idea what issues you would have at the clutch side since the t56 is hydralic. You would have to fabricate all that stuff also.

 

hmm i see, oh well not heartbroken or anything just bored and it was kind of a what the hell why not type thing


and yes it is side mounted, it didnt seem all that wide to me but then again i havent looked at a camaro tranny out of the car

i wish i could get rid of the stupid thing
