1994 camaro HELP!
i just bought a 94 camaro 850 bucks so it was a steal! the thing is i eventually want to drop a v8(350 crate engine) in it! but im using it as my daily! so is there any way to start putting the parts ill need in this little sixer while still driving it? also what would i need???? im more of a mustang person so i know nothing about camaros but since buying this thing i fell in love!!! if people think its better to buy a new V8 i probably would, but i would want some after market parts for the sixer....any sites or anything for camaros?? also what is a good dual exhaust? loud and delivers best performance

with the 3.4 you are going to want to get it running as good as you can and drive it. conversion to v8 is more costly than a z28 would cost. trying to get performance from the 3.4 is not cheap and gains are minimal. better to just drive it till you can afford a z28.

yeah i know they are, with the advice you gave id rather just drive it till it dies, but see i dont mind spending a couple grand on headers, exhaust, cold air intake, and rims. any particular site to help with that? and which exhaust works well with this car to give it great sound

You're better of spending those thousands of dollars once you get the Z28. While I love my LT1 (93-97 years), the LS based platform (98-02) has a lot more options and a bigger aftermarket and will make much more power. There is not much support for the 3.4L and for good reason, they are not that performance oriented. Swapping to a carb'd or even TBI V8 is not as easy as it sounds but can be done. In the end though, if you ever want to sell it, the resale value will be majorly hurt. I'd fix it up, get it running good, and flip it.

I've been the 3.4 to Z28 route, and I wouldn't even consider putting much "performance" money into the 3.4. In my area, you can get a Z28 for under 3 grand, with 120 some odd thousand miles on it. Your car and the $2,000 you're thinking of dumping into it will buy you something that will still blow the doors off the slightly modified 3.4.

If you search around this site you can find some 3.4 project threads. If I was you I would limit my upgrades to things that can "transfer" to a Z28. You can adapt a z28 cat back to work with your V6 and get a little rumble at idle, it was will be raspy at the higher RPM but then again so will everything else. Nice rimes would transfer also. I would avoid CAI and headers because you will barley notice the difference and you will still be slower than just about any mini van sold after 2003.
I like the 17" SS rims or some of the corvette knock offs are pretty nice.
As craby mentions LS1 are good deals but that also drives down the price LT1. I have seen some descent (from me that means a lot) Plain 94-95 automatic Z28 selling for 3K and that was asking price.
