02 v6. Noise from under the hood on cold Start.

You need to get the engine scanned so that you know what the SES lamp is complaining about, as it will give you a starting point on working on the problem.
It is hard to diagnose an engine problem by recorded noise, to me yours sounds like a slipping belt or a bad roller lifter with a frozen roller, but it is just a guess. As others mentioned, remove the belt and run the engine and note if the noise goes away.
Many times when there is a ticking noise when engine is first started, and then goes away it is caused by a worn or sticky lifter that has lost its oil prime. After running a while the lifter fills up with oil and the noise goes away, but eventually it will continue as the problem increases with mileage. A lighter viscosity synthetic oil, such as 5w30 may help if it is just a dirty sticky lifter.

noise
Well ive had this camaro for almost 2 months now 85,000 miles on it when i got it. 2002 camaro v6. Very clean. well it started making a noise like a couple weeks ago and it sounds horrible. Check engine light has been on but its because u got some gas with alot of water in it like a week ago and i have a vacuum leak. (i think) i dont know much about cars but its been cold in my part of alabama. the noise starts when first started then shuts off after like 40s or so. if i accelerate while its making the noise it makes it during acceleration. i decided to see if its the cold weather but today its 60 outside and i gave it a start and recorded it and i still got the noise. What could it be? (EXCUSE MY GRAMMER/TYPING, just trying to get answers) PLEASE HELP. Link to noise on youtube.Recorded with my phone so excuse quality
