Default 02 v6. Noise from under the hood on cold Start.

Well ive had this camaro for almost 2 months now 85,000 miles on it when i got it. 2002 camaro v6. Very clean. well it started making a noise like a couple weeks ago and it sounds horrible. Check engine light has been on but its because u got some gas with alot of water in it like a week ago and i have a vacuum leak. (i think) i dont know much about cars but its been cold in my part of alabama. the noise starts when first started then shuts off after like 40s or so. if i accelerate while its making the noise it makes it during acceleration. i decided to see if its the cold weather but today its 60 outside and i gave it a start and recorded it and i still got the noise. What could it be? (EXCUSE MY GRAMMER/TYPING, just trying to get answers) PLEASE HELP. Link to noise on youtube.Recorded with my phone so excuse quality

how is the oil pressure? check for leaks, exhaust, intake, vacuum. can you track the noise to locate area its coming from.

Just checked to locate the noise sounds like it's coming from the driver side part of the motor. I've noticed in the colder weather it takes longer for the noise to but since it's warmer it took little to 30 seconds

It just sounded like some intense lifter tick to me. I'd check your oil pressure, and you oil level.

Just read up on the what the lifter is and what happens and why. The cold weather is probably the reason. Im starting my journey and knowledge on cars so sorry for the panic thanks for the help

I am thinking it is a bad bearing or belt tensioner. I would take the belt off and start it and see if the noise goes away. DO not run the motor more that 15 seconds at the water pump is not spinning. Maybe have someone else start it.

My normal fix for lifter tap is synthetic and a good filter. You want a 10 micron filter or better. Might take 2 oil changes before it clears out.
