Fixable?

Fixable?
I'm thinking about buying a 1991 Camaro rs Sunday. The power train is good but the exterior needs work. The car looks like it was backed into a pole on the right rear quarter panel where it connects to the bumper and replacing that panel looks to be a pita. Seems like a car that needs a lot for asking $1700. "VERY NEGOTIABLE", I'd hit him with half that easy. Take a good look underneath and see what happened to the front control arm. I can see that the wheel is moved towards the back, and would be what then crushed the fender. It may have just broken, or could have rusted off. The back doesn't look all too hard to fix, this all depends on your skill level though.

IMO the damage in the back is pretty bad. The "trunk drop" or I guess you would call it the Hatch drop area is going to need repaired and hatch itself is showing miss alignment. What I am saying is this is not just remove the quarter panel and weld in a new one. This is remove the quarter panel check and fix all the places the quarter mounts to then weld in a new quarter panel. Plus the rear bumper. It is not a beginners type job. In a crash and dent shop that is a $3500 repair just on the back.
It has been my experience with 3rd gens that when the control get bent they need to spend a few hour on a frame straightener before they can be aligned.
Again it is just my opinion but for as cheap as you can buy an undamaged body this one is not worth fixing.
