just bypass the vats its extremely simple to do, my problem was the two little wires in the steering column broke(both of them) sometimes they would make contact and it would read my resistor in the key, the car would start fine, other times i would turn the key, all lights/radio wold work, but not a sound from the starter, no clicking nothing

bypassed the vats, installed a hidden switch so when i flip it off the vats system functions as normal, and haven't looked back since
