1991 Camaro Dies In Gear
I just got the car and it has problems i know but it was 500 dollars for a L98 Camaro i couldnt help my self haha. When you put the car in gear it bogs a little then dies. I hear this can happen if the idle air control valve is dirty/bad and im going to clean it up and change the plug on it Wednesday but is there anything else i should do while im at it?
Parts list for now:
Ignition Module
Sparky Plugs
Cap and Rotter
Throttle Position Sensor
TV Cable
Intake Gaskets
Alternator
Air Filters
Is there anything else i should think about changing? Spark plug wires are new already as is the battery so those are covered.

So i changed everything on my list plus IAC but the car still bogs and dies in gear but if you give it a little gas when you first put it in gear it will stay running when you let off the gas. It has a bad TPS could that cause this?

I had a buddy that had this same problem, he kept telling me it was his tourque converter. That it didn't want to turn when it was in gear but if you put some power behind it she would stay alive. I'm not sure if this is even a culprit but I've hear it through the grape vine. Unless it's a manual car then it's over my head. Good luck!!!

TPS should not be a problem. Sounds like you are not getting any gas. What does the car idle at??? I would forget everything else until you get it running right. Is it a TBI or TPI car.
