Default low oil pressure 3.4

I have a 94 camaro with a 3.4 v6 and it has low oil pressure. When I first start the car up cold it has about 30 on the gage. Then when I'm driving it will be around 20. Once it is warmed up and I come to a stop it drops down to nothing. There seems to be oil leaking somewhere from the top of the engine on both sides. And the oil leaks on to the headers and smokes. The car does not overheat.

So my question is what could cause this?

Could it be a vavle cover gasket? Could it be a throttle body gasket? Could it be a head gasket? Could it be a intake manifold gasket? Or could it be something completely different? Where should I go from here?

Thanks for any help.

valve covers, and intake oil leaks has been what ive seen on here. i have also read the oil pressure sensor for the gage can fail and leak but it comes down the back on both sides. is the motor rattling or clicking when the oil pressure goes to 0? what wt of oil and what kind of oil filter?

First off, you know your posting in the 3rd gen area? Thats the 82-92 Camaros. In most cases Low oil pressure and oil leaks are not related. It is most likly two or more problems. You need to find out first what your real oil pressure is. Your going to need to put a real pressure gage on your motor. Low oil pressure can be a sign of something wrong or that the motor is just plain worn out. The engine needs 10 PSI per 1000 RPMs so that it does not hurt itself.

As for the oil leaks there are no short cuts. You will need to clean the motor real good then let it idle till you find the leaks. If you drive the wind can push the oil around and make finding the leaks tuff. If you have a bunch of oil leaks it can be a sign that the motor has to much back pressure. It can be another sign the motor has about had it.
