how long do you think its gonna last?
im gonna be running a stock '87 T5 in my car with a pretty built 357sbc. the trans is rated for 275ft-lbs and I know my motor is gonna make close to 400.. so my question is.. how long is is gonna last before I end up with transmission on the highway
I don't think its gonna last long, I plan on auto-x'in it as well as occasional drag runs.

Probably not long if you plan on doing some high rpm clutch dumps.
But you're building this just to loaf around town and the once in a while going to the grocery store, right?

*caugh* Caugh*
by drag racing I mean on street tires.. I doubt ill be buying a set of DR's for this thing.. one thing iknow can make it last is to relocate the torque arm, which I plan on doing if the T5 blows or not (when I go LS its getting a T56)
im also rebuilding a 10 bolt I bought of Microkid out of his Z28, since its lasted this long behind his 383 I figured itll be fine rebuilt in mine..
mostly im just worried itll break before I get some miles out of a $380 SPEC clutch I want to buy for it :/
