Removing the fuel tank

Removing the fuel tank
Do I need to remove the sway bar if I am trying to replace the fuel tank. I don't think the rear end would drop far enough without removing the sway bar. The shop manuals don't mention the removal of the sway bar, only the track bar and brace.

Yes you have to remove the sway bar. Basicly all you are going to leave are the control arms bolted to the rear and car and the brake line. The rear will drop far enough to get the tank out.

Thanks, MadMikeZ28.
How come they do not mention removing the sway bar in any on the shop manuals?

MadMike,
You are an expert with 3rd gen camaros. After I replace the fuel tank, I will be removing the engine for some much needed work. Where can I find some good information regarding some quick mod's to increase performance. Maybe a little better than stock cam, increased air flow etc... The car is completely stock right now.
Thanks for your help.
