I'm looking at a 1985 Camaro Berlinetta and have a couple of questions about the car. I don't have any experience with Camaros so I'm sure some of these are stupid questions. I would appreciate some help from the experienced and knowledgeable people here. The car is a 1985 Camaro Berlinetta in decent shape with a little rust in the fenders and bottom of the doors nothing rusted through. The motor runs and the interior just needs a little work and cleaning. It needs knew paint and tires. The asking price is $2000.

1. Is a Berlinetta model Camaro considered a "collector" car as the guy told me?

2. Are the Berlinetta's models just suppose to offer more luxury than a regular Camaro?

3. Is the price good at $2000, roughly how much would it be worth restored?

4. How many of these models were made in 1985, are they considered "rare"?

2) You could say that...It was more of a girls car.
3) Way overpriced...is the seller crazy or are you???
4) About 13,649 and again the only thing RARE is the seller not saying it was.
My opinion look for another car.....

 

I agree with black except a small issue with 3. like whats the milage, tranny type and actuall shape of the car. have you taken it for a ride? any rattles or odd noises? generally, though 2000 is to much. nice tires and rims alone will be several hundred and paint? thats bucks right there. many out there is good shape for cheaper.
and I see I missed the rust part so no its not worth 2000.
