Tuff to answer since GM did not put a 3.8 in the Camaro in 1990. The 3800 GM did have in 1990 had the Buick bolt pattern. If your car was originally a V6 that would have been a 3.1. That has what later became the standard V6 pattern. When GM was using the old style 3.8's a lot of times they used a universal type transmission that would fit either chevy or Buick. I remember swapping out a turbo 3.8 to a 350 in a Monte Carlo but like I said GM did not build a Camaro with a 3.8 until 1995.
Just a side note there are a few Turbo 3.8 1989( I think it was 89) Transams running around from the factory. These had a very limited production.
