I was looking up some celebrity lights online and for around $170 they can kiss my a$$. The pick up headlights are about the right size but they are kinda smaller in hight and I don't think will look too good. But i know those lights are cheap!

I've come up with a list of headlights that might fit our 3rd gen Camaro's. Now it up to me and anyone else to measure any of these to see if they would indeed fit. I'm not worried about a half inch here or a half inch there too short. I can ust put some rubber around the lights to keep the moisture out as well as fill in that gap.

Keep in mind that these are just for the headlights and not the turn signal lenses. Those on all these cars appear to be seperate. And for me any of these headlights that have black inside the lense would get painted my body color.

BMW 3-series--no turn signal corners (black area painted body color):

Chevrolet Caprice/Impala SS:

Mitsubishi Diamante (black area painted body color):

Chevrolet Astro Van:

Chevrolet Silverado:

When I was at the wrecker last I tried some of the Caddy lights. They were too big and did not have 90 degree corners. A lot of the headlights you have pictured don't either. That would leave a nasty gap.

90º corners? Are you referring to the back curve or the top of the headlight down?

Look at the pic of the Grand Am by the grille. The headlight is not a perfect rectangle.

Took me 6 hours to half way get to this point. I am not a very good fabricator. I still need to build a bottom bracket brace and tweak the alignment of the light a bit.

Well if by "up close" you mean jam up to the frame that won't happen due to the light lens plastic housing. But, if you mean upclose to the light itself I'll have one tomorrow maybe. Here are a couple of other pics.

I will be taking pics throughout the process so others can do it--that is assuming my conversion actually is successful.
