Default Cooling fan problem...

92 RS, 3.1, single cooling fan and temperature gauge. Someone before me rigged the cooling fan to run as soon as you to the key on. I pulled out the relay for the fan, disconnected the rigging job they did and reconnected it back to the original wiring. Results were no cooling fan kicking on at all, car reached over 220. Replaced relay and temperature sending unit and checked the fuse in the fuse block, stil nothing. Does anyone see something that im missing here????

turn the engine on and let it get hot, you said it turned on at 160? Then when it reaches 160 feel the radiator hose is it hard or is it flimsy?

Ok, I have replaced the thermostat, temp sensor on the block (driverside front), new relay. I did check and there is power getting to the relay. The car gets to 195, thermostat opens and cools down but the fan never kicks on. Is there another sensor to check? The car already runs a lot better now that is getting up to 195. But the fan still doesnt kick on and the temp did get up past 220.... WTF??

Well ... Now You Understand Why They Hot Wired It Huh? LOL The Only Thing I Can Figure Is Maybe There Is A Burnt Or Naked Wire Somewhere Causing The Sensor To Malfunction. Good Luck. Sick
