Default 305 to 350 swap 84 z28

Hey there I'm in need of a very knowledgeable guy who can give me some pointers on replacing my tired 305 HO in my 84 z28? I'm wanting a gmpp 350 300 HP 4 bolt main from pace performance GM part # 10067353-4. My question is will the original 305 intake and CARB set up and wiring harness and distributor and front running assembly all bolt up to the new 350 without problems from the computer? Thanks guys... Looking forward to driving my dream car.

Your carburetor is jetted all wrong for the 350, the stock intake and exhaust manifolds will choke the 300 hp engine. I would guess you would giving up a good 75 hp with that factory crap on there. Do you live in a place that requires you keep the computer?

Holley street avenger 670, torquer 2 single plane intake, Summit HEI distributer and your choice of long tube headers. Computer system in the trash

I'm looking at going to a 350 vortech set up instead. Base 350 350 HP long block.. Flo tech vortech heads 64cc chambers and a CARB set up with the EGR valve for emissions Hei distributor. Will all that work together?

You want to check local laws on what is needed for emissions. EGR valve is an emission item but your car came with a complete computer system that included a O2 sensor to maintain emission. In terms of emissions the EGR valve make up about 5% of your emission system.

Going to need a lot more details on Carb and HEI those are generic terms. Your current HEI uses a computer connected to a knock sensor to set your timing advance. If you are canning the computer you need a HEI distributor with vacuum advance.

Msd street fire ignition kit with vacuume advance. Eddelbrock thunder series 650 cfm Eletrict choke.... Flat top pistons... Full roller Cam 1.5 ratio rocker assembly 196 intake valves 160 exhaust 64 cc chambers swirl ploished. That should get me 10 to 1 compression.

Don't want a turn key. I can build one for cheaper and get more HP. Plus down the road I can change it all. To a pro charger or twin turbos...

300 hp at the crank comes out to about 250hp to the wheels aprox wich most v6 cars make today ,unless your talking 400hp or more wich above you mention 300hp but did not note crank or wheels ,i have on my bucket list a 3rd gen mabey 88 iroc but with BBC couse there is so much more space for some serious power under the hood , over my 406 swap in my 4th gen ,though if what your doing sounds fine couse its alot more then the 145hp it had stock ,an a pro charger could add 100hp ,i would build it all forged parts ,an doing it yourself will save some money,i have the same carb on my 406 ,sounds like those parts will get you there ,there is an callifornia emissions plate in edelbrock carbs there i hear one can get more hp an better throttle reponce too,i notice when cold sometimes could be crisper responce
