Default Repairing a urethane bumper cover

Hi, First post on this forum. I was regular on a Jeep forum a few years back, now I'm restoring an '81 Camaro. Does anyone on this forum have any advice from experience on how to repair a crack in a front bumper cover? Also, what should I use to smooth it after the repair. Will normal body filler(Bondo type) work, or will it be too brittle and crack? Thanks for considering these questions.

You'll need to open up the cracks by grinding the cracks out to a "V" so you can repair them properly. Also drill small holes at the ends of the cracks to relieve the stress, and prevent the cracks from growing. There are special products used to repair the cracks, and also special fillers used to fill and be more flexible to hold up.
Lots of great videos on youtube showing how to repair the cracks in urethane bumper covers, and what products to use. For the hobbyist, the repair kits that don't involve a "plastic welder" are best, and work well. Most come in tube form, and can be either small squeeze tubes, or caulking tubes. 3M makes a great urethane crack repair product.
