Thanks everyone for clearing this up; I'm a vintage Euro guy so out of my element...

Are these worth keeping or should we just scrap them?

Thread revival.... I would keep them. You never know what will happen if you haven't already thrown them out. If your luck is anything like mine as soon as you throw them out or sale them you'll need them. Just my 2 cents....plus if its still good then why not keep them or make money off of them?

Default 1971 z28 Camaro

Hi,

I own a 1971 camaro that was given to me by my father and wanted to rebuild it since it was a gift from my mother to him. There need to be major fixes tho. to begin with, does this car need a certain battery or any battery will do(Old batter was a interstate mega-tron battery 8 1/2 by 7 1/2), can it run on the old oil just to make a test drive and any others tips will be helpful THANKS!!!!!
