Choke and fuel pump power

Choke and fuel pump power
This might relate to the previous thread. I have a 78 Camaro with an 350 out of a 88 Silverado. I have the 4 bbl manifold on. The carb I am getting has an elec choke on it and I also need an elec fuel pump because I have the generation motor with no pushrod/lobe on cam for mech fuel pump.
I was curious, I need a switched lead for choke and pump. Some body had a splicer with a short wire (looks like it will reach carb) off of the lead to HEI.
Can I use this wire for choke an pump?
Will there be any voltage fluctuations based on RPMS?
Just covering bases before I go any farther. The coil in the HEI's cap should act like a capacitor, so anything before it should be constant, right?

You can't tie an electric pump into just any wire. You need a good 15a-20a fused ckt, and you also need a fuel pump relay. The relay is then turned on and off with a power source that is hooked to the ignition. The electric pump on a later Camaro is in the tank I believe, so if you go aftermarket it will be easier to hook up. The wire for the choke can be hooked to any keyed ignition source that comes on when the key is also on.
You need a regulator that will keep the fuel pressure in the 5-7 lb. range, or it will pump too much pressure past your needle seats on the carb.
