Frame Connectors
I was told that frame connectors would be a good idea for safety reasons on my 76 Camaro with Cars & Concepts T Tops. I need to know from where to where and is it because of the T Tops? Here's a pic.

It's not for safety reasons, it's to tie the front and the back of the frame together. Rear of the car is unibody, and the front subframe bolts to the body. Subframe connectors connect the two together, and the welded type is the best. It will help to prevent frame twist, body twist/wrinkles in drivers side sail panel, or even a cracked windshield. It's more important to do with a high output engine. But it will stiffen up your body, especially since it it T-Tops. You'll feel the difference and lack of body twist when going over bumps and railroad tracks too.

I was the one who suggested that. A long time ago a GM rep at a GM training class told me to stay away from F body’s that where built before 78 (I think). In testing the cars folded in half in a front on hit above 70 miles anhour. There was no required recall because the 70 miles per hour was beyond the test point at that time. Up coming safety standard forced the new tests. Theyadd more structure to the roof between the tops. I figure welded in frame connectors would be theeasiest way to add strength to your chassis.
The other thing he told us was if the car folds while you are seatbelt survival is not likely.
