just an idea get racing studs oversize and longer with open lugs. summit maybe they can help you, call summit racing talk to a tech about some sets of wheel studs. get them longer in case you decide to use aftermarket aluminum wheels like weld or centerline or spacers on stock rims. on the back of GM cars had factory equipment spacers on 1990 formula firebirds. on my 1981 camaro iuse spacers on the back to even out the track width to normal. factory setting is wider in front and if you have same size tires it looks sucked in at the back. the earlier rear end was wider due to a drum brake style change.
On a side note there may be something wrong with the axle in that area maybe on the back or front or maybe its un even or wavy or its just plain stripped it out its hard to see that without a straight edge.
