Default Advice for taking off the chassis

Normally this shouldn't be a problem with any first or second gen camaros because seperatiom is a metter of disconnecting lines, transmission linkage, and taking the bolts off the outboard side of the frame, ect, then you use a lift on the side panels to raise up the chassis. But my problem is i dont trust the t-tops. Having the main support of the vehicle goes missing and my lift is almost 3 inches off from the other side, im scared of warpage. How do i go about lifting this up without messing it up???

Hello and Welcome.
You do not have to lift the body off with a lifter to remove the front frame. You just need to support the car using 2 axle jacks on the front of the car. If you have the engine and tranny out, place a heavy duty square section, perpendicular to the center line of the car, aft of the transmission cross member(between the tunnel). Jack the car an inch or two from this square section and then place the axle jacks right below this cross section. If you want you can take the weight of the front frame by jacking the front frame as well a bit (just to take off the cantilever of the chassis). You will not wrap the car.

Please make sure to pack underneath the car with tyres in case one of the axle jack fails. Just for safety. The picture shows my Camaro where I have placed the jack while I removed the front frame (actually this picture was taken after installed the frnt frame)

Hope this helps. goodluck
