Default tire sticking out too far!

I just put my new rear cragar SS 15" wheels with 295/50-15 tires and they stick out like 1-2" past the wheel well :whine: I want to use these big tires so I don't want to change them. If the wheels had another 1-2" of bs they would be ok and shouldn't hit the leafsprings or shocks. Should I get my rear end shortened or just get new wheels? which would be the cheapest? new wheels are gonna be around $360 and would prefer not to get new ones.

i would go with new wheels because your going to have to shorten the rear end and get new axles so you are probably over the 360 dollars

i would go 2 inches more to get it all the way under plus you have the lip of the fender you dont want to rub on if you hit a bump

well i haven't driven with them yet so i don't know if they rub but don't they look better when there all the way under the wheel well. that's what most people seem to try to for anyway. I also heard it can be illegal if it sticks out too far

I think your right it is illegal, Mine stick out a bit past the wheel well. Maybe a inch give or take i kind of like the look and unless i hit a good size bump they don't rub that offten
