I think the paddock website has the options listed per year,or at least they used to.My car is an 81 with 305,automatic,cruise,a/c.The 8th digit of your vin # will tell you what engine came in the car A or K both =V6,J=267,H=305,L=350.

ok its a L so stock 350. it just seem slike its not the stock motor. there are brackets for hoses that dont line up or there are no hoses even there. i just replaced the fuel pump and they kept giving me the wrong pump. they said that year of car has 2 lines on the pump where mine has 3.

sounds like maybe the motor has been changed then,or someone took parts off somewhere through the years.

From the option list for 1981 Camaro
Z28 came stock with LG4 (5.0L 305ci 165hp) & 4-speed manual transmission. Buyers could get the LM1 (5.7L 350ci 175hp) ONLY when automatic transmission was also ordered.
