Default Hi

So i had a few questions about the second gen camaro 1974-76 to be exact
does anyone know how much a power window and power door lock camaro weighed
i cant find it
unless they really did weigh 3675 or something like that

also
My friend thinks his 328i bmw can smoke my 76 camaro
his specs are 230 horse weight is probably about 3800 with him in it
mine are 420 horse and the weight is about 3720 with a 3500 converter and 3.42 gears
i want some opinions
i am pretty dang sure i can really get him but i want more opinions
what do you think i can run?

i think you should be able to kill him as long as you launch well

you have alot more hp and torque than he does along with a pretty tall stall and semi low gears..

Why not just invite your buddy to the local drag strip and let him find out the easy way?

If your car is a 420 horse like you say I would say no problem more than likely. With a 3500 stall and the 3.42 gears you should have a decent launch. I don't know about that gearing/stall matchup though. With a 3500 stall I would think lower gears would be best. Like a 3.73 at the least. On the highway you would have to be doing over 70 just for the converter to lock up otherwise that's a lot of heat. I hope you're running a trans cooler.

What year is the BMW btw?

Like 1971BB427 said, take him to the strip and find out. Then let us know.

yea the gears are a bit high for the converter but i do have a tranny cooler
and here where i live the speed limit is 65 but everyone goes like 70-80 so that is ok i guess even though we are speeding
the gears are good for milage somewhat
i plan on getting 4.10s but the mid range with those gears is AMAZING its freaking strong
but the bmw i think is a 2005 or 6
