Hey gang, new here. Live in Seattle.

I haven't had much luck identifying what model it is so I'm seeking advice from the experts. I don't know that much about the subtle differences in the second gen Camaros to know. Title does not say.
Maybe you can help solve the riddle of what model this car might be.

Just to be claer I'm not restoring it to original condition or hoping to sell it at the Barret auction for a small fortune. It's my hot rod project and I'm keeping it, just curious what it is. Do hope to autocross it someday but thats a long ways off.

What I can tell so far is it was origionally Lime green metallic (code 43). All the fenders, hood, trunk, doors, nose ,etc have green paint around the edges. Built in 71 at van Nuys.
Bumpers and trim appear to be original as does the motor and trans. Has been painted and seats recovered, steering wheel and radio replaced, engine and trans rebuilt. PO told me the gauages and interior trim are original.
Seems ok for it's age, not the best shape in or out but it runs great. Body has some rust, suspension is shot, interior isn't origional. Motor has alot of aftermarket parts. Never gonna be in museum but I will be on the track someday.
I'm having a good time tearing into it on the weekends and so far it's been a great project.

I'll post the, VIN the cowl tag and a couple pics. Maybe one of you can spot something that stands out to help id this model.

Have you pulled the back seat or gas tank yet to see if you have a build sheet in either place?
Near as I can tell you have a std. base model Camaro with the gauge package. No way to know if the spoiler is original option, or added later.
Looks like a great car though, with lots of potential.

Good call, haven't looked in either of those places. I can look behind the back seat but I doubt I'll drop the gas tank looking for a piece of paper. Maybe when it goes in for paint.
Spoiler has green paint on it that matches the door jams so I think it was a factory installed part.

Well, pulled the seat and found lots of 70's loose change, pull tabs from old beer cans an envelope with reciepts for the interior work, engine rebuild, door seals, brakes, rear end and trans overhaul so it was a good find.

No build sheet but the reciepts are all local shops and added up to quite a lot so the seller wasn't pulling my chain about the work he had done.

Now I just gotta figure out how to get the seat snapped back in!
