1973 Camaro wont engage into park
So this is my first 2nd gen car ( i currently have a 5th gen). When I go to put my car into park, it doesnt seem to catch sometimes. Therefore if i'm on a hill then it starts to roll. I put my emergency break on for caution. The gentleman I bought it from says there was some line or something that needed adjusting. Anyone have any idea what needs to be done?

If the setup is the same as mine there will be a small bracket attached to your oil pan where the transmission shift cable runs through before it goes onto the selector switch of your transmission, there should be an adjustment there. Also if it is a floor shifter there should be an adjustment on the front of the shifter. Dont adjust it too far or your other gears will be slightly out of whack too.

The threaded adjustment is at the linkage arm on the trans. If an adjustment putting it further into the park position doesn't do the trick, then the issue is likely with a worn park pin (shaft that drops into notches on the sun gear), or the gear itself.

The best way to adjust the selector is to loosen up the adjustment at the trans bracket. Put the transmission in neutral by hand, then put the shifter in neutral, and adjust the cable so it fits. Then you can check all the positions on the shifter and make sure it gets both 1st gear and park positions as it should.
