Wheel Question

Wheel Question
I purchased a 69 SS convertible a few months back and am interested in adding an extra set of wheels and tires just for some dress up. It currently has the factory (replica) 15" wheels and tires so it floats down the road on those old style Goodyears. I would keep the existing set for re-sale but I am thinking to go to a 17" wheel but don't want to get to much of a resto-mod look and would appreciate any advice.
Thanks,

You can't go wrong with 17 inch wheels. They are a very popular size with many choices for tires.
Having said that, I'm not sure if they alone will correct your issue of feeling like it "floats down the road"... You will probably need stiffer shocks.

I agree. Figured to start with this and see how it goes. Thanks for the advice. Great looking 69 btw!

Use a gauge you trust/known to work.
Test tire pressure first thing in the AM before the sun hits the tires.
If floating is no better, add more caster via alignment shop.
Fix the problem first before throwing money at it.

Explain further. Tires may need more air preventing sidewall flex.
