Big block pan to frame clearance - 69
First post!
I have a 69 Camaro with a 427 installed. The Hooker Super Comp headers are 1 1/2 to 2" below the oil pan. Before I go down the path to Lemon's headers or custom made I want to be sure my engine is in the correct place. I did not install the engine and the numbers tell me it was 6 cylinder when born.
Can someone tell me the clearance between the bottom of the stock pan and crossmember under the engine? I want to be sure the frame stands or mounts are not incorrect lowering the engine.
Thanks for all you help!

One should not be able to slide their hand between the pan and crossmember.
Are the correct stands used?
View the compartment from the front open hood.
The air cleaner stud should be approx 3/4"-1" to the Pass side.
Hookers are usually lower than other brands.
I love my Hookers.
