Default Powerglide Slipping in Park

Just picked up a new problem with my 67 Camaro with a 327 and Powerglide. When I place the shifter in park on a slight incline, the car rolls about a foot and makes several clicking sounds before coming to a stop. Otherwise the trans works fine when the car is running. Hopefully just needs a little adjustment. Any suggestions?

It is the sound of the parking pawl, spring loaded, ratcheting on the outer drum.
I'm sure you do, stop the Camaro, place foot brake on, then select park.
You might even use the parking brake ...

I've been using the parking brake and select park as you described. . . . is there anything else that can be done?

Check to make sure your shifter/linkage is putting it all the way into the park position. Once in park, block the wheels and disconnect the cable at the trans bracket. See if the transmission shift lever has any further movement beyond where the cable put it.
