Question 69 kickdown

I installed a th350 in my '69 Z-28 and cannot find the correct components to hook up the transmission kickdown. The carbuerator is the stock holley 780 cfm 4 barrel. Can anyone direct me in the right direcction?

First, the trans must have the cable from the pass side to the carb.
Secondly, you need a ball stud in the bottom hole of the carb lever.
Thirdly, you need the cable bracket to hold the kickdown cable at the carb.
Once all installed, unlock the casing lock, have an assistant hold the throttle at WOT, then pull back on the cable casing removing the slack, and push in the lock.
Trans should upshift at WOT at around 5500 RPM, if the trans governor is working correctly and has stock weights and springs.
Trans should downshift whenever at WOT.

Thank you very much......everything is in order, as you wrote; except the "casing lock," I have never had an automatic trans. (been a 4 speed guy all my life); that being written, I am not sure I have the correct kickdown cable; it is too short to reach the ball stud on bottom lever of the carb; even at closed position. Sooooo I will investigate further. To change the kickdown cable on the trans end looks to be nearly impossible; can't attach inside trans; can' see. Thank you, Frank

Yes, connecting the cable is hard, but can be done without dropping the pan.
Leave the upper/carb end disconnected and pull out on the cable at the bottom.
Stick 'ball' into trans and hook into the fork.
Casing o-ring should be lubed with ATF and slide in the casing and secure with bolt.
Go topside and pull cable while holding casing and resistance should be felt on the last 1/2 inch of travel.
Slide cable through the loose mounting bracket and slide end over ball stud.
Secure mounting bracket.
There should be a clip to pull out as this device unlocks the casing with the mounting shell in the bracket.
Auto trans shop will show you, or look at a friend's THM350 equipped GM.
