Default yep another 1969 Camaro rs/ss Project

Just thought I would share a lil project im doing . I recently was able to get a 69 Camaro rs/ss from Arizona.. car was in Almost perfect shape.. factory Disc, power steer, A/C , 12 bolt posi.. anyway guy I got it from was an ATF agent and drove his lil boy and wife around in the car so it was completely gone thru and replaced or repaired. brand new 350 engine & th350 most everything was on the car was gone thru, wire harness dash and engine . new posi and gears , too much to list lol.. Well I had the car 2 weeks and didn't want Stock so I ripped engine /trans out. Ripped suspension out & steering box , ripped the rear leafs drums and upgraded to hotchkis rear leafs, QA1 shocks and Wilwood rear disc with all braided lines . Front got Tubular control arms QA1 Coil overs hotchkis hollow sway bar new Z28 quick turn steering box . since car is originally a 350 SBC I decided to keep with the small block and had a crate 383 roller motor built... 510 hp , and had Ronnie Diers of extreme Automatics build me a stage 2 200r4 trans to handle 750hp/650tq. .. as of now the car is almost back together.. bought the car jan 18th 2015 tore apart 1st of February .. and trans just showed up at freight dock so get that tomorrow and it will be all done .. not sure how many posts I need before I can post pics but they will come soon. sorry for the long write up.. blame it on being a newbee to the site lol.. I regularly visit a Boating forum since im into hot boats and have had some Bad *** boats over the years and currently have a 20ft v-drive Ski Race boat with blown 548 Dart BBC running E-85 and give or take 1200hp.. True Chevy guy here.. and 69 Camaro is my favorite car.. 1st car I bought my self as a senior in HS a 69 Camaro 283/th400 6cyl swap before I got it back in 87 for 600.00 bucks.. Un heard of any more and that's why it took so long to get another one lol.. anyway once I get a few more posts i'll throw up a few pics of it.. Very Clean Body and Pait and Deluxe interior.

Sounds like a nice project. Picture links aren't working though, may be a facebook privacy issue?

Nice car, blue on blue like mine.
It's 3 posts till you can upload pics to this site, which shows thumbnails like you have there.
There isn't a post minimum for posting an IMG link, which then displays the full size picture.

thanks, yeah it was originally a Triple blue car . but 2nd owner removed the blue Vinyl roof and painted it from midnight blue to the LeMans Blue.. luckily its been a Desert car its whole life and roof was in great shape along with the whole car 98% rust free.. just a couple pin holes in the trunk pan ..

Haven't posted in a while on here. Lots of changes to the car in the past year.. Have almost finished the car now..DSE Mini Tubs, Speedtech torque arm rear susp. , Fab9 rear end 35 spline axle and strange components, Willwood rear disc and Coil overs, all Front Hotchkis control arms and sway bar, with coil overs... Converted to a TKO600 5 speed and Just about to finish assembly on the New power plant. Swapped out my Small block 427 for a 548 Dart block Aluminum merlin heads.. Is a solid roller engine out of my Drag boat, was a Blown alcohol engine .. now just detuned it some and put a 1050 carb on it.. should be around 750+ hp.. also ordering wheels to fill in the mini tubs.. going with 18X11 rear and 18x8 fronts . going to be conservative and run 295-45-18 rear and 245-45-18 front.. Pictured below is the engine i removed from my boat when i sold it and the wheels i will be running on it.. and current look of car with engine out lol

aahh got it now so the 383 was not enough ? you may be new hear but far from a newbie to the cars an engines beautiful car an that will be very rare one day to build one of the 1 gens ,sounds like you did the best thing for the road or some track running even ,I had my eye on 74 awhile back ,had a 383 ,was a drag car made to run on the street again ,missed out on it ,I love when guys modify any car pretty much alot of room under the hood ,you can also use photo bucket ,if you just post then there then right click to paste then hear makes a big picture without haveing to click on it. real nice car for sure,i watch mav tv often has the boat raceing that has to be blast ,an feel faster on water on sundays I live on that channel,ok so if I am reading this thread right you went from 350 to 383 an now the 548 big block wow that's a track car for sure ,that will take up some of the room I mentioned earlier if I am not mistaken ,nice wheels too,i just love the look of oldshcool compared to new ,if you watch street outlaws the dung beetle beat a hellcat in a race ,guess goes to show if I guess all he does is work to make there car go fast ,or its just tv
