Starter Wiring
I am trying to wire a starter in my '68 Camaro. My harness has a purple and a yellow wire. However, based on the below photo, I only see one post for one of these wires since the large post is for my battery cable. The starter is an Ultima 03-0485 and my engine is a 350. Help....

Purple is the start wire. Factory style starters have a 4th (R) terminal, yours doesn't. This is where the yellow wire would go, which would feed a full 12 volts back to the coil only while cranking the starter. In the run position, the coil is fed around 9 volts by a resistance wire. A constant 12 volts would burn up the coil and points. Without the yellow "bypass" wire from starter to coil, the engine may be hard to start, or might not at all due to the voltage drop from the load of the starter (that's why the yellow wire). What kind of a distributor are you running, original points style or updated to electronic?

Yes, and do not use the factory resistance coil wire to power the HEI distributor, the low voltage could ruin the ignition module. You need to run a new full 12 volt wire to the HEI.
