No back lights 1968! New purchase
I just bought a 68 327 manual. Car is in great shape. Engine and trans rebuilt. My problem is the all the lights on the back end don't go on. The flanker lights on the rear fenders do work. Any ideas. It's been a long time since I've had a vintage car so I am still getting refamiliarized. Don't think all four bulbs could be bad so has to be something else. Any help would be appreciated. Will post photos soon.

if you didn't check them how do you know ? start there.
battery charger. ground wire on the base of the bulb , then touch the positive lead on each terminal of the bulb. then you WILL KNOW
check all grounds?
follow the wires for breaks?

The tail lights get their ground by the metal hosing being bolted to the body. My housings are plastic and the sockets have separate ground wires to the body. You may have built up corrosion between the housings and the mounting nuts, this can be a problem area. Try jumping a wire from the housing to a good ground source on the body and see what happens. If they work, clean the mount areas, but you might still want/need to connect a permanent ground wire. We had to do that to my brothers 68, cleaning the contacts still left the lights hit or miss.
