Mini Starter Heat Shields

Ceramic Headers
I ended up wrapping my steel headers just to reduce the heat in the engine bay, but not everybody likes that look. Because I wrapped my headers, I didn't need a standard heat shield for my high torque starter, but the shields look kinda cool and is fairly simple to install.

So, your saying you don't like the mummy effect

I do have a friend that has a nice set of ceramic headers that look pretty nice, and work great. He doesn't have a heat shield on his starter and his starter is working fine for the past few years.
Of course, the standard heat shield is a little less costly

3 or 4 months now, all though summer. there is a opening in the front that seems like it would let air though. first starter only lasted a month before problems started. stater still worked when i took it out a couple months later but i had to click it a bunch some times. i think the heat cooked the solonoid.
