1968 camaro drum to disc brake conversion. Street/autocross car
Looking for some info on converting my 68 camaro from drum brakes to disc brakes all around..
I'm preferably looking for a complete kit (front to rear) as it takes the hassle out of parting a kit together..(and me being kind of lost on what exatly is needed to put a kit together) Any recommendations?
The car is my daily but will be a weekend autocross car so I'm looking for some serious but not over the top stopping power.
Thanks in advance

Well I did this upgrade going from drum/drum to disk/disk installing C6 Z06 brakes. There is alot of good info on Inlne Tube's web site. Read the info at the following link it is very informative and pay particular attention to the 67/69 distribution block section.
Proportioning Valves
I replaced my entire brake system but installed the same lines as the original drum/drum system with no proportioning valve.

I like that alot! I would love to have a set up like that on my 68! Was there any custom work you had to do to make that work or is everything pretty much bolt on? Also what did you end up spending? If you don't mind me asking.

My setup is pretty radical. DSE subframe with AFX spindles but the front brakes just bolt on. The rear is a 9" Moser floating hub with a Chris Alston 4 link and basically the rear brake setup required some fabricated parts. This setup is pretty serious, but my point was that the brake lines are all stock manual drum/drum using a 7/8" bore master cylinder. In fact I need no proportioning valve and reused the original distribution block under the master cylinder.

That is radical. I like that '68 as well. I put a more stock like 4 wheel disc brake conversion kit on mine from mattsclassicbowties.com. Complete kit was around $1200 from the booster down to the e-brake cable! Stock look and worked awesome.
