I'd personally suggest the Escort Passport 9500ci. It detects radar and laser, has GPS so that it memorizes locations, and if you have a car with HUD, you can buy a DashTronix Radar Projector to have it display on your HUD or DIC with the unit itself hidden away as you like. Clean, factory installation.

The Valentine One radar detector is the way to go. Have had mine for over a year now and haven't been more happier with any other radar detector.

My valentine has saved me so many times it's not even funny. It's like Mike Valentine says. This isn't going to keep you from getting a ticket, it's more of a guardian angel keeping you in check. It gave me advanced notice so many times.
