45th Anniversary in 2012? 50th in 2017?

I don't think GM is going to be around in its present form by that time. Also the 5th gen Camaro will be gone from production and just a footnote in car history books.

Given that there was a production halt for 8 years, it seems a little off to produce an Anniversary edition to me. If GM can survive, I imagine they might have some footnoted bit at best and that'd be all. Since after all, it wouldn't be 45, 50 years of continuous production
I could be wrong though. We shall see~

id like to see a 50th in 2017, and im pretty sure chevy, if its still around, will do it. at the least to drum up sales of the maro, cause my guess is that Cafe standards and high gas prices will slow buying on them.

yeah unfortunately it will be hard for this camaro to survive in this economy. I want it to ...believe me. But I think it will go the way of the GTO. Everybody is Window Hyping/shopping right now. But when it comes down to plop 30k+ for a v8... no matter how great it is .... it wont sell because there is no demand.
But if the sales are there...which I hope they are.... then yeah they will do a 45th and 50th.... if for nothing else, just to hike up the sales.
